Reduce your total CHOLESTROL

Most of the cholestrol found in the body is produced in the liver.However 20 to 30% is secreted from the foods we eat. So it is very important for us to eat calculatedly.

Foods can help lower the bad cholestrol LDL, and raise HDL which is good cholestrol.If there is supply of bile acids in your intestinal tract it would turn into cholestrol.So food like Oats help reduce supplies of bile acids.

FOODS THAT LOWER LDL CHOLESTROL

Almonds,Apple,Avocado,Beans(rajma),Carrot,Corrionder seeds,Fenugreek seeds,Garlic(but not very sure),Grapefruit,Isabgul,Oats,Olive oil,Onion,Safflower oil,Soyabeans,Sunflower Seeds and Walnuts.

A person with high cholestrol level should consume high fibre diet like wheat bran,barley,beet,carrot,oats etc.Persons with high cholestrol level should drink atleast 8 to 10 glasses of water.Regular drinking of corrionder seeds decoction water also helps reduce cholestrol.

OTHER MEASURES

Regular exercises like brisk walk,jogging,swimming,cycling,playing and some yoga asana can also help.


YOGA asanas like Shalabhasana ,Padmasana, and Vajrasana are helpful in controlling high blood cholestrol.

Diet for treating high cholestrol

Early morning drink decoction of corrionder seeds.

Breakfast: Oats or fresh fruits,handful of seeds adviced and skimmed milk( you can mix everything ina bowl of cooked Oats).

Lunch:Lightly cooked vegetables and dtox roti( recipe in my blog) or brown /red rice and butter milk.

Mid afternoon: 1 glass Orange juice or carrot juice.

Dinner: Salad of raw vegetables,moong sprouts and vegetable soup.


AVOID

Flesh foods,eggs,cheese,butter,whole milk,coconut & palm oils,sugar,white flour,tea,coffee,condiments,pickle,refined & processed foods and fried foods.
